Game Pass shelter is an officially opened public rock art site and run by a local community. The site is an integral part of the Kamberg San Rock Art Trail in the ukhahlamba Drakensberg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It also has an informative interpretative Centre. This site was first brought to the world's attention in 1915 when a photograph of one of its panels was published in Scientific American.

This panel was coined the “Rosetta Stone” by Professor David Lewis-Williams in the early 1980s, because it was this same panel that enabled him to decipher the San’s beliefs and rituals which are essential for the interpretation of the art. The panel is composed of a polychrome eland (sacred and revered animal by the San) and several therianthropes.
